Welcome to the Inn at Court Square, a small boutique hotel located in Charlottesville, Virginia. Here, you’ll discover two beautifully restored houses known for their architecture. Built in 1785, the federal period house is the oldest existing house in historic downtown Charlottesville. Next door, the 1918 houses boasts a rare Mansard roof, characteristic of the mid-nineteenth century. Innkeeper Candace DeLoach brings the hospitality of her native Savannah to Central Virginia.
This luxury Inn offers ten upscale guestrooms with private bathrooms, many of which are equipped with working fireplaces and whirlpool tubs. A complimentary glass of wine and housemade cookies are offered upon check-in. Complimentary on-site parking, wi-fi and high definition cable TV are also available.
The DeLoach family owns and operates the Inn. They have painstakingly restored the house, the interior of which highlights their many years of experience in the antique business. Their antiques are for sale throughout the Inn and at DeLoach Antiques next door.
“Candace DeLoach is warm, utterly unpretentious and quite obviously a hands-on owner who is equally at home welcoming her guest or tackling a leaking faucet.”
The Washington Post
“There are people here who believe in not only preserving the past, but who are committed to making it come alive again. Candace DeLoach is such a person.”
Charlottesville Area Real Estate Weekly
“Candace DeLoach chosen as the 2015 INNKEEPER of the Year!”
“The Inn at Court Square won the 2016 Breakfast Cooking Contest at The Bed and Breakfast Association of Virginia Conference.”
Bed Breakfast Association of Virginia
The Inn’s comfortable and beautifully appointed rooms also reflect the sophistication of Candace and her brother Michael’s work as interior designers in New York City and along the East Coast. They have worked together as interior designers for over 28 years.
